Disney Packing List FAQ

What can I bring into the parks?

Bags are screened at every entrance and have a size limit, and most parks allow your own food and drink in soft-sided coolers while restricting loose ice, glass, and large hard coolers. Sizes and specifics change, so read the park's current bag and prohibited-items policy the week you go.

What shoes should I wear to a theme park?

Shoes already broken in — a park day is hours of standing and walking on hot pavement, and new shoes are how people end up buying flip-flops at a gift shop. Pack blister tape before you need it, and a second pair to swap into if you are going back after a mid-day break.

What about rain?

A poncho beats an umbrella in a queue, folds smaller, and keeps your hands free. Florida summer afternoons bring thunderstorms often enough that the ponchos on sale inside the park are a tax on people who did not pack one. A dry bag or zip bag for the phone finishes the job.
